Then Summer Camps at the Michigan Academy of Taekwondo is for you!

We’ve been running summer camps since 2005, and we know the last thing parents want their children to do is stay at home sitting on the couch watching Netflix and playing on their iPads.

Summer Camp at MAT is action-packed with tons of games, obstacle courses, outdoor fun, and other physical activities.

Camp takes place right here at our martial arts school in downtown Northville, and oftentimes we take the group to the Ford Field playground and Mill Race Village, both of which are right across the street from our facility.

Over the past several years, on the last day of camp, we have taken campers on a walk over to Custard Time (the ice cream shop on Seven Mile Road)! That is, weather-permitting, of course.

Registration for Summer Camp 2024 will open on March 1, 2024.

Dates for Summer Camp 2024 are as follows: June 17-21, July 15-19, August 12-16, and August 19-23.

The details:

  • The cost is $249 per member attendee and $299 per non-member attendee.

  • Attendees will need to bring their own snacks, lunches, and drinks.

    We do NOT supply any snacks or drinks (besides water).

  • Attendees should wear clothing that is comfortable, such as sweatpants or shorts and a t-shirt.

    Students should NOT wear their Taekwondo uniforms.

  • MAT Summer Camps are week-long camps at our facility in Downtown Northville, Michigan. Our camps are open to children between the ages of 5 and 12.

  • Summer Camp is open to all children (students, siblings, friends of members, etc.) between the ages of 5 and 12.

  • Each day will consist of games, obstacle courses, water blaster fights, and age-appropriate movies. Usually, we take the kids to the park at Ford Field so they can burn some energy and have fun.

  • During the summer of 2024, we are running a total of four (4) camps.

    ⋅ August 12-16

    ⋅ August 19-23

  • Yes, we will be covering our Taekwondo curriculum during camp, so students will receive two (2) attendance credits for attending camp.

  • We are capping participants at 25 total, so if you plan to register, do so ASAP.

  • Registration will be open through the Friday preceding the Camp.

  • All attendees must have a waiver on file with the Michigan Academy of Taekwondo. Active students already have waivers on file. To download a copy of the waiver, click here.
