Finally...
A Proven System to Overcome Your Child's
ADD, ADHD, or ODD
And no, I'm not going to give you any psychobabble or high brow theories. I’m going to teach your child the actual skills of focus, respect, and self-esteem they so desperately need.
- Are you struggling with a child who has moderate to severe ADD, ADHD, or ODD?
- Do you find yourself wondering, painfully, if they will develop the focus and attention skills they need to be successful in school, and ultimately in life?
- Is there a daily struggle in your home with defiance — a lack of control that leaves you and your child frustrated and angry?
- Have you tried medication, supplements, special diets and therapy, but the problems still remain?
All children struggle to listen and focus from time to time. All children will occasionally talk back, and act defiantly. But in children with attention disorders these problems are not a passing phase, but an ongoing problem. Like the “pebble in your shoe” they are a problem best nipped in the bud - before they can flourish into the severe.
The difficulties, however, don’t stop with just focus issues. Because of their attention disorders these children will often have trouble understanding academic and social concepts that other children learn with ease. This can lead to an even more problematic lack of self-esteem and confidence, which can cause them to act out even more, beginning a lifetime of “defense mechanisms” that range from poor peer selection to drug abuse.
Fellow parent, let me tell you - it doesn’t have to be this way. You have already taken a powerful step in the right direction by finding this website. Please keep reading, and I will show you how the skills and behaviors learned in my Martial Arts program could be the big “breakthrough” you and your child have been looking for.
How Can I Be So Confident That This System Will Work For You?
Simple: It’s already working every day for dozens of kids just like yours. As a matter of fact, the chief instructor of our school, Mr. Tyler (pictured above on the left), is proof positive that our program can totally turn the life of an ADD/ADHD/ODD diagnosed child in a new and positive direction!
I have been teaching Martial Arts to children with these disorders successfully for the last 10 years. I have personally seen it change the lives of literally hundreds of children around, and now I’m on an unstoppable mission to help these special kids in my community overcome their challenges like you never thought possible!
Finally Give Your Child The Structure “They” Say He Needs
If your child has ADD, ADHD, or ODD you’ve heard it a thousand times: “He needs structure!” The “Dan Vigil’s Academy of Taekwondo” program is exactly what you’ve been looking for. The best part is this:
Unlike other Martial Arts schools we are experts in getting children with these disorders to take that “structure” home with them! So that when they are with you, at school, and really just in their own self image, they are empowered by higher levels of focus, attention, respect and self-esteem!
Imagine the possibilities when we give your child:
- A Proven System of Skill Development: No fancy theories or hard to understand concepts here. Our Instructors are experts in teaching the actual SKILLS of listening and focus. Hint: We’ll be teaching these to your child in the very first week!
- An Atmosphere of Order, Structure, and Respect. Even though the atmosphere is friendly and supportive, Taekwondo is not “play time.” You will be delighted to see how your children develop focus and persistence in our orderly and structured environment.
- Regular Incentives for Effort and Achievement: The belt system of Martial Arts (your child will earn a new belt every three months: white, yellow, orange, green, etc.), regular positive feedback, and recognition of accomplishment, incentives for improvement, applause, smiles, and high-fives will systematically lead your child into the “Yes, I Can!” attitude you’ve always wanted for him or her.
- The “Message of the Week”: Regular exposure, through our “Message of the Week,” to systematic instruction, accompanied by exercises in the lessons of respect, discipline, focus, persistence, courage, discipline and confidence. (Most of the “Dan Vigil’s Academy of Taekwondo” parents name this as their favorite part of the program!)
- Positive Role Models: The biggest ‘asset’ of “Dan Vigil’s Academy of Taekwondo?” Easy. The teachers. Now, I’ll tell you up front. They are not like the teachers you’ve seen in the Martial Art movies. Are they “Tough Guys?” Yes. But what you will notice (and so will your child)…is that they are “Nice Guys.” They have been hand selected…not just because they are great Martial Artists. They have been chosen because they are wonderful people…and have a great love of helping others benefit from the Martial Arts! All of our teachers were once students at “Dan Vigil’s Academy of Taekwondo” or trained under the same coaches as Master Vigil. They care about each student individually and are totally committed to helping your child reach his or her potential.
We’re Not Just Doing Some Fake and Cheesy “Self-esteem Building”
Rather we are building actual, applicable skills of problem solving. Many kids with ADD, ADHD, and ODD do not learn the appropriate skills to solve problems without fighting, screaming and disobedience. We are going to teach them these skills, but here is the secret. We don’t just academically teach the kids about these things - we construct situations in our classroom where the kids actually use these powerful strategies. Then, they are coached to apply them when they are at home and at school.
But you don’t need to just take my word for it… The response to our program has been overwhelming.

To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter to share the outstanding experiences we've encountered since meeting Daniel Vigil. My son has ADHD, Anxiety, and borderline Asperger's Syndrome. In an attempt to provide him with an enriching and positive activity, I began to research martial arts and spoke with several martial arts specialists. I learned that martial arts could be very beneficial for children with a variety of challenges. After speaking with Master Vigil at great length, asking countless questions, and explaining his history, I was eager to enroll him in the Academy of Taekwondo. I'd like to share with you why we made this important decision.
My son's impulsiveness and unpredictable behavior had been an issue. Academically, he excelled and had always been very bright but his school work worsened. Getting along with some of his classmates was becoming more difficult. By January, his self-esteem suffered and he became anxious and sad. Obviously, this affected all areas of his life. He had played soccer for about 5 years but was slowly becoming more frustrated at practices and games. He no longer enjoyed playing soccer. My husband and I discussed this with him and we all decided that soccer was no longer the right sport for him.
He wanted to try martial arts and showed interest in taekwondo. Master Vigil wanted to meet him and spend time with him, one-on-one, with a private lesson before he started classes with other children. What a wonderful way to introduce himself and make him feel comfortable and welcome in his school! It was a pleasure meeting Master Vigil and seeing my son so drawn towards him within the first few minutes of speaking with him. He loved every moment that he spent with Master Vigil that day. He received his new uniform and couldn't wait until his first class with the other students. I felt relieved because we were so sincerely welcomed and I saw a safe, well-controlled learning environment for him. He thrived in the positive atmosphere that Master Vigil set for his students. He was treated no differently than others which made him feel very comfortable. He had confidence, showed initiative, made new friends, and improved his schoolwork. My son was so happy!
Master Vigil and his instructors interact with the students using many strategies and always do so in a very respectful and caring manner. There is a great balance of work and fun in the methods Master Vigil and his staff use to teach. The gym is set up very simply so as to avoid distractions. Master Vigil clearly demonstrates and explains what he is teaching and students also learn through interaction with their classmates, which helps them improve their social skills and self-esteem as they help each other work on a new technique, for example. He uses language and non-verbal communication that is easy to understand. His patience makes the students feel at ease and his encouragement fosters a feeling of independence. Because he has a strong will to be the best at what he does, Master Vigil sets an example of some of the principles he encourages his students to follow: courtesy, self-control, respect and perseverance. His teaching style is challenging and with high expectations, but at the same time is very fun, kind, and supportive.
In summary, I have no hesitation in recommending Master Vigil as a mentor and role-model for children, especially children with specific learning needs. The Academy of Taekwondo provides children with an enriching experience that benefits their physical health and mental well-being.
Sincerely,
Maria S. Angott
“The Change In My Child Was Noticeable From The First Week”
My daughter started at Dan Vigils Academy of Tae Kwon Do about a year ago. The change in my child was noticeable from the first week. She became excited about a place where it was OK, even encouraged, for her to be loud! A place where she was rewarded with a stripe on her belt for learning a new skill! On my side I was excited about the "YES MAAM" I was hearing at home, as well as the newfound self-confidence she was gaining. Over the year my child has earned FOUR belts, two trophies, and has invited everyone she can think of to come and see her test. These are the outward things, what I see inward is a child growing with a healthy respect for others and herself. I see a child who can be proud of her accomplishments. I see a child who has gained enough self confidence to be in her schools talent show! These are the things that Dan Vigils Academy of Tae Kwon Do are teaching my child. And oh yeah, she has learned Tae Kwon Do too!

The Power of “Quick Response.”
Dear Master Vigil,
I wanted to take a moment and thank you and your staff for all of the great things that you promote at the academy, self esteem, excellent manners, and most of all Quick Response. As a mother of four it gets frustrating for both parent and child when you continuously ask your children to do this or that. But when you and your staff taught them quick response.... WOW!!! I ask politely only once and then say quick response and I have what I asked for and it is fast followed with a your welcome and yes Mom anything else I can do for you? With no whining. Thank you, this little thing has helped tremendously. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Courtney VanLoo ( Kylie and Racheals Mom) =)
(“Master Vigil) Has A Long History Of Working With Kids And It Definitely Shows Through His Instruction In Class”
“My wife and I wanted to involve our kids in Taekwondo because of the many benefits it offers for physical and mental growth.. I had prior experience in martial arts and knew what type of school I wanted to find for my family and especially for my kids.
The Academy of Taekwondo was exactly what we where looking for. Instructor Vigil is excellent with the kids and is able to bring out the best in their abilities in a safe and fun environment. He has a long history of working with kids and it definitely shows through his instruction in class.

“It Lives Up To The Hype”
Our daughter's experience in your school over the past year has "lived up to the hype" of what martial arts can offer. Compared to other spots/hobbies (soccer, gymnastics, swimming, etc.), the opportunities are much more significant, and life changing. We have found a pastime that really works for us. For that, we thank you, and your wonderful staff.

Class 1:
- Your child will begin building a relationship with one of our role model teachers.
-
Watch with pride as they warm to the respectful atmosphere of my Academy, with the introduction of their first Tae Kwon Do skill – the bow.
Witness focus and listening skills immediately improve with the introduction of our “Attention Stance” and the 4 ways you pay attention while using it.
- With your child’s eyes: Look at the person who is talking.
- With your child’s ears: Listen to what the person is saying.
- With your child’s body: Remain still while the person is talking.
- With your child’s mind: Focus on what the person is saying.
- Beam with pride (and chuckle a little) as they begin to learn their first three defensive skills.
-
Listen with satisfaction as your child recites the first part of our Student Creed:
“I intend to develop myself in a positive manner, and avoid anything that would reduce my mental growth or physical health.” - Class finishes with high fives, smiling faces, and a souvenir photo!
Then, Class 2:
-
More high fives and bows, then breathe a sigh of relief as your child learns:
Quick Takeoff: When your Tae Kwon Do Instructors, your Parents or Teachers tell you to do something you immediately say, “Yes Ma’am or Yes Sir!” and do it as fast as you can! - We’ll rehearse in class and then send your child home with instructions to put this skill to use with you, right away!
- Be surprised by how quickly your child learns three more basic self defense skills.
- Finally, watch with a smile on your face as your child earns their first Tae Kwon Do belt, signifying that all Introductory Requirements have been met, and they are ready to become a Tae Kwon Do student here at our Academy!
Believe me. With just these two short lessons, your child will come away with their self-confidence greatly improved. Not just in how they feel. They’ll actually be experiencing real life skills. Skills that they can put to powerful use, right away, today.
